Dr. Sue Sisley MD is an Arizona-based physician practicing Internal Medicine & Psychiatry. Sue serves as Site Principal Investigator for the only FDA-approved randomized controlled trial in the world examining safety/efficacy of whole plant marijuana in-combat veterans with treatment- resistant post traumatic stress disorder PTSD. Dr. Sisley is on faculty at Colorado State University, recruited for core planning team to organize the CSU "Canna-bis Center of Excellence" in Pueblo, Colorado. Dr. Sisley has been a Member of Nevada ILAC Medical Cannabis Commission for the past two years outlining regulations for laboratory testing including limits on pesticides, residual solvents and other guidelines that are currently being used as a model for other states medical cannabis laws.
She works as a independent medical consultant/medical director for medical cannabis license holders in 11 different states from Hawaii to New York. Dr. Sisley was granted a DEA Schedule 1 Researcher license this year after 7 years of struggle to implement her cannabis clinical trial. She will present from the main-stage Tuesday August 30th about how she obtained that "golden ticket" to purchase cannabis from the federal government and distribute to veterans through this FDA approved protocol. Dr Sisley will also be announcing her Honorary Advisory Board position with BBF Battle Brothers Foundation who strives to lead the attack at the new front line inAmerica against veteran suicide and the opiate epidemic. BBF is a suicide prevention campaign non-opiate-based relief through support of hard science in cannabis therapies.
